OUR STRATEGY

Caritas Cambodia is an official social development arm of the Catholic Church in Cambodia. . It has been built on the values of Love, Concern, Justice, Peace Unity, Sharing and brotherhood. It draws inspiration from the Gospel and aims at integral development of people irrespective of race and creed. Hence the objectives of Caritas Cambodia specifically include the following.

  • SO 1.1. Synodal Collaboration: Engage in constructive dialogue with ecclesiastical authorities and Church institutions, jointly fostering integral human development and service.
  • SO 1.2. Advocacy and Presence: Stand in solidarity with the impoverished, advocating for their pivotal role within both the ecclesiastical community and broader society.
  • SO 1.3. Deepening Catholic Understanding: Strengthen our commitment through an enriched appreciation of Catholic identity, spirituality, and ethics, thereby laying a robust framework for mutual cooperation.
  • SO 1.4. Strategic Partnerships: Actively engage with a diverse spectrum of organizations, both faith based and secular, to enhance the efficacy of our collective missions.
  • SO2.1. Emergency Response Synergy: Improve response collaboration and effectiveness by following Caritas Internationalis guidelines, sphere standards, and national plans, as well as Caritas Cambodia’s policies.
  • SO2.2. Disaster Risk Management: Boost resilience in high-risk areas by training communities to mitigate disaster impacts.
  • SO 2.3. Sustainable Community Initiatives: Develop resilience and sustainability through climate adaptation and eco-friendly lifestyle promotion.
  • SO 2.4. Environmental Awareness: Raise awareness for environmental care as a key part of sustainable development.
