Human trafficking is not a new problem, but the interfaith forum to spotlight the issue for broader awareness is a new initiative by the National Committee for Counter Human Trafficking of the Royal Government of Cambodia, interfaith leaders, Caritas Cambodia and civil society group working on trafficking in person.

On 30th August, 2017 the Cambodia National Interfaith forum: “Prayers and Conveying Messages on Combating Human Trafficking and Ending Modern Slavery”, was held and presided over by Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and the Chair of the National Committee for Counter Human Trafficking.
