Caritas currently supports community development programs in 186 villages, in 15 districts, in eight target provinces. In addition to management and administrative staff, Caritas employs 42 community development workers who work closely with villagers and the Village Development Associations to foster participation in the democratic process.

The Community Development Program has reached about 400 Village Development Associations (VDAs) across its target areas of 8 provinces. Trainings were initiated to enhance the capacity of the VDAs’ leaders, VDA members, women, and also the youth and children to help them work together to fight against poverty.
