10 participants represented Caritas Cambodia and partners in the country: Catholic Relief Service (CRS), Caritas Switzerland and Caritas Czech Republic came together for the first time in the In-Country Coordination Group Meeting on Monday 13 June 2016 at Caritas Cambodia office.

In the meeting, Caritas Cambodia Executive Director, Mr. Kim Rattana extended his warm welcome to all participants and expressed thanks to CRS for volunteering to take a coordination and facilitation role in this important meeting.

He added “this does not count CRS’s effort in drafting the term of references for the group”.

Among several issues, two agendas; namely structural cost and auditing were agreed to bring for discussion in this first meeting. These two agenda items were agreed upon the result of Caritas Cambodia’s Partnership Meeting held on 23-24 May 2016 in Phnom Penh.

In the first session, Mrs. Vansam Socheata, Caritas Cambodia Finance Manger presented structural cost, overhead cost and institutional cost for the year 2015 and 2016.

Members of the group were able to share their opinions and suggestions. It was agreed that clear explanation on these costs should be explained and shared with all partners.

The presentation session was then followed by the sharing of Caritas Cambodia’s common format for global and specific project auditing.

Caritas Cambodia’s In Country Coordination Group was established by the decision during Caritas Cambodia’s Partnership Meeting hosted by Caritas Cambodia and facilitated by Caritas Internationalis and Caritas Asia in Phnom Penh, held on 23-24 May 2016. According to the draft term of references, the group aims to work together in coordinated partnership manner in solidarity with Caritas Cambodia.
